I mean look at all the sheep in Parliament who are bewitched by the pathetic portents of public opinion . They fly off here and there to solve the problems of this worldl.Most of them couldn't organise a pissup in a brewery .
I wouldn't mind if they knew what they were doing but they got on the plane by agreeing that the Public do know what they are doing - Clearly they don't know what they are doing to find energy sources other than fossil fuels -- only fools would force us to the hell of a fixed jail term-- a simple 43% solution. Public opinion is as fickle as the hot air they hope to manage.
So if God has a sense of humor and justice, how is He going to break the spell ? Maybe like us old parents , he gets to the point of saying" let them wear their own" .
I know God has a sense of humor and many other things because , miracle of miracles the tributes to Queen Elizabeth by our leaders TODAY was exceptional and because humble pie awaits us all .

Another good reason for thinking that God might have a sense of humor is because things still work pretty well despite the incompetence of those who rule us. But the fact that here in democracy, the tyrants rule doesn't last for ever might mean that with some patience comes judgement. If there is humor it may contain that parental and adult acceptance of the vain stupid nature of all men but with the solid knowledge that the spirit of evil cannot go on forever.
ReplyDeleteCromwell, the man who did more than most to pursue the idea of the freedom of men to rule their own patch did laugh and sing , praise and wonder while wondering longingly whether he was doing the right thing ,eventually left the case for his and anyone's condemnation ( incl Charles 1 ) in God acting to actually end his or anyones effectiveness. .
ReplyDeleteit was very cold here in Victoria Easter sunday 2023 . people in Apollo bay were running out of bottled gas , Nooone dared to talk of Climate crusaders peddling harder now that we have weeks of little wind let alone these coming winter nights when the windmills panels and batteries will never work
